Inspiration Becomes Aspiration.: I finally found it!

Inspiration Becomes Aspiration.: I finally found it! http://inspirationbecomesaspiration.blogspot.com/2011/11/inspirational-people.html

I finally found it!

This is a day of finding things! Talk about fate!... Although I'm not even sure if I believe in it myself.

But today I found the link for the photo I saw on facebook that went with one of my earliest posts on inspirational people. It was a woman fighting against cancer, and showing her strength. It is beautiful, and something I wish I could be more like.

Here is the picture I have been so hung up on for months!

It leaves me speechless even thinking about this photograph, my thoughts are with her.
The link:

I also received my prom dress in the post! At first I was sceptical of the whole idea of getting dressed up for a evening of teenagers trying to act formal. So I didn't spend much on it, but it is simple and elegant. So Hopefully Prom will live up to everyone else's expectations more than mine!

Sorry for the boring post, it was more of an update. :)

Do teachers set us up for an F?

I know quite a lot of you out there will be like yes, no question it is the teachers fault their students don't pass. But do teachers really set up their pupils for a FAIL?

As personal experience I have been okay listening to teachers that ramble, the teachers that do absolutely nothing in the class all they do is make tea, I have had teachers that send you out for coughing. But does all this really mean that you are set to fail? Are teachers the ones fully to blame for an F? Or would you take some of that responsibility?

So I can understand that different teachers have different ways of teaching, but do they really need to push you into exams? Make you feel like you are going to explode with the pressure of exams? ...
Everyone has at some point felt like exams are like hell on Earth. The word exams (for me) just makes me want to scream. I don't know if it is the teachers mind washing you into this sense of stupidity a month or so before so you feel you must revise, spend all your time at your desk reading through all the many sheets and notes you have made through the module/course in order to even scrape through, let alone get the grades you want! But what's more is that for me once you go back and look at your notes you can remember them being legible in some way... Well that didn't work too well. My handwriting seems to have been taken over by a four year old child. And, again, I want to blame this on the teachers (stick with me here!) because they ask you to write down notes as they talk, and some teachers have the power of not needing to take a breath or any sort of pause. So therefore leads to the handwriting of a four year old.

Maybe you just have teachers that you can barely listen to or watch for more than thirty seconds at a time because they are so utterly dull, or really have no enthusiasm for their subject. This is something that really frustrates me, people who are meant to be encouraging, inspiring others; but instead create boredom and a sense of hatred towards that subject. I mean they might have just wrecked that person's chance at doing well in that subject or even school because they feel that if they aren't good at something why bother?

And I know there are millions of teachers out there cringing at one students outlook on how teachers CAN wreck school for SOME students. But there are so many teachers that ARE inspiring, that give up so much time and effort to get that pupil to where they need to be.

So what do you think? Are teachers solely to blame for bad grades?

Something that made me think and laugh.

Comedians "Armstrong and Miller" have done many sketches together that I find so amusing- not sure my sense of humour is something to go on though! I originally came to find these through a English lesson, not quite what you expected! The lesson was about how teenagers speak, and how they have created their own language almost.

The two comedians so create quite large stereotypes making these sketches, but non-the-less makes it hilarious to watch if you have any connection to teenagers today because you can see the reference to how they speak. So just to show you what I meant by it! And please enjoy! ...

But it also made me think about how I conveyed myself, and how much you are judged on how you speak. First impressions are what most people base an opinion on, so adding how you speak just adds another thing to be paranoid about! I don't know if this is me thinking too much into the subject, but I just wanted to know- Do you judge people on how they speak? Maybe start assuming things you couldn't possibly know until you got to know them for real?

But I guess we are all guilty of that. No matter how much some people believe "Don't judge a book by it's cover" they do themselves too. It's just human nature to start assuming and piecing together what that person is like.

So this is me being hypercritical: Don't judge the book by it's cover, or the blurb. Judge it by reading between every single line of the many pages each individual has.

More artwork.

I did some quick sketches over the holidays. I tried to change my style of drawing within these two drawings- both are free hand and use the same pencil (a soft B pencil), I tried not to use a rubber as much as possible on both sketches to make it more a learning curve to see how the final piece looked without changing it. I think my human drawings still need more work- the proportions don't seem to be fully correct yet, I think it's mostly the eyes (but again another learning curve!)

So they need a bit of work really, but I guess this is just some starting point for other sketches. So they don't look that realistic at the moment, but I will try and upload more photos of them getting better! So enough of the excuses...

I like the one on the left more because it is more realistic, but I like the darker tones within the other sketch. These are ust quick, so need more work!

Sorry I have posted in a while, I will do more posts more often, with hopefully more artwork and photography!

The right thing.

Everyone has this gut feeling at some point in their life; that they know the exact right decision. And there is no way it needs questioning. But there sometimes is that over lying (or even overwhleming) pocket of doubt. What is you were wrong? What if you have made the wrong choice? What will happen as a consequence of your choice?

But I guess none of those questions really help much if you are already some what bombarded with waves of doubt, guilt, responsibilty, loyalty... But maybe those feelings don't cover the way you feel; I just wanted to know how many life altering questions have been thrown at you? How many would actually make a huge impact on your life? Maybe your decision has an effect on someone else? Maybe these choices you have to make feel like the right thing, but looking back you would have changed your mind.

Everybody has to make decisions during their lives, whether it is what sort of fizzy drink they want for dinner, or how they will be able to get water for the next week. But you know once you have the completely right decision you are left feeling like you have taken on the responsibility, weighed every possibility. You have done the right thing.

Finally I just wanted to say that: all choices come with a consequence. And if you aren't willing to take that consequence in what you believe is right; you don't believe enough in your decision.

It was just a gut feeling...

The Christmas stress is finally over!

The festive season has come and gone- and now onto the depressing wintery month of the new year! It's a new start, a new chance of an amazing fresh start! So I wanted to talk about new year resolutions, and if they really that meant that much? Personally to me they seem to give most people false hope of changing their life around from what it used to be, because if they really wanted to change their life that much they would of already tried to before the new year. But I guess it depends how much you mean by this new resolution- maybe it is the usual, predictable resolution of "Eat less rubbish." Or something to that effect! I wonder how many people have actually changed their normal eating habits? Or genuinely believes they could follow through on their new years resolutions?

So what was your new year resolution(s)?
How many people do you know (or think) have drastically changed their lives around because of a new years resolution?

Sorry for no updates over Christmas- between the normal Christmasy stress of buying food and presents, having the family visits. I was also revising for exams and helping out with some horses! Busiest month, I've had in a long time, so I apologise for no updates in ages! And the topic is slightly late: I just started eating loads of chocolate, and I thought about all those people who are meant to be "being good". And just really wondered how many people actually do stay on track!

Ellie,
Hope everyone has a good year ahead of them. :)
